In a well written paragraph tell the differences between the greasers and the socs. Use the book with page numbers and paragraph numbers.

The Greasers and The Socs are completely different. The Greasers are people who sometimes use car grease to put their hair back. They are the poor ones who live on the west side of the town. Some of them, like Johnny, like breaking laws just for the fun of it. The Socs (also known as the socials) are the rich people who like to beat up the Greasers. They like to stay cool with the law and not go against it like the Greasers. They don't use car grease to put their hair back but they use gel because they can afford it.

Johnny didn't break laws for the fun of it. That was Dally ~Mrs. Best

We all know that the fifth commandment is: Thou shall not kill. With that in mind, tell me what you would be feeling AND what you would do now if you were Johnny at the end of Chapter 4.

I feel think he should run. He killed the gang member of the socs and I know that the police is not the only one looking for him. I now that Johnny will feel bad and scared in the next chapter. If I were Johnny, I would go trough my hometown and go far far away and stay under cover, I wouldn't get famous or give my name away.

Does this seem like a solution that could give you peace for a lifetime? ~Mrs. Best

Explain what Ponyboy finds out about Randy and the other Socs at the end of Chapter 7.

Ponyboy had just realized that the Socs are just guys that were different than the greasers. He knows it because he talked to Randy and he talked normal to him and not really mean. He was soft on Pony and Pony realized that the were just regular people just like him. He also so noticed what Cherry had said earlier,'Things are rough all over."

B. Explain what Two-Bit means when he says: "The only thing that keeps Darry from being a Soc is us."

Two-Bit Really means is that Darry is able to be a Socs because he could of went to collage and could become rich, but he decided not to because he had family to take care of so he decided to stay back. Any ways, He was a greaser and he was a greaser to start out with. He had all his friends he ever needed in the greaser group. How can you give up friends that like you so much?
